So this has been a rocky start to the blog! I've been doing a lot of variations of the same old recipes this week, partially because I'm not sick of them (yet!) but also because our oven is broken (!!!) and I haven't been able to get too creative. I've got some good ideas for once it's fixed though!
I've been focusing more on exercise this week. I've started using Run Keeper, which has been a great motivator. I like being able to see how far I've gone and how much I've done. I can map out routes, or just start walking and the app on my iPhone actually speaks and tells me how far I've gone and how long it's taken. It's FUN. So that's something that I'll be sticking with for the time being because it's actually making walking enjoyable.
CHECK THAT 3LB WEIGHT LOSS OUT! I officially weigh .2lbs less than I have in probably over 2 years. Small victories, people. I'm going to credit it to my new diet (again, I'll post about that soon!) and the walking/exercise AND the fact that on this new diet I don't have to count calories so I'm not driving myself crazy all day and am actually finding myself less likely to cheat.
The nice weather is helping get me outside too. Check out this pic:
I snapped that on my 6.27mile walk the other day. SIX POINT TWO SEVEN. Who does that?! Yeah, ok, a lot of people do that... while running, no less. But not this kid... until now...! It was awesome. I hit up Prospect Park and walked the whole loop and then walked home. I smelled worse than our garbage can does right now (the husband's been working like a crazy person this week so that's gotten neglected. Whoops!).
So there's that. Run Keeper, baby. I still owe you a post about this new PCOS-friendly diet that's actually working(!), and maybe at some point I'll actually get around to posting something in the Furbishing department. I'm deciding on a new paint color for the living room right now, so that's been the main hold up. I also have a disastrous attempt at a sugar-free avocado chocolate pudding recipe to tell you about. Whoops! K guys, have a great weekend, and hopefully you'll see more of me next week!
