Breakfast and Eggs

Whenever I come home from the RE, I'm usually starving. I've never been a morning person, and even as early as Middle School I would get nauseous just thinking about eating breakfast before school. My mom would force feed me Carnation Instant Breakfasts, though, so I wouldn't make it to first period and be starving. I miss those things.

Anyway, it just hit me that it's kind of ironic (again, I'm still not 100% sure if I'm using that word correctly or a la Alanis Morissette) that after almost every single appointment, I go from them checking out my follicles/eggs to eating eggs. Bc I like warm food. It's a quirk. Whatevs.

Today, they hadn't grown too much. On Sunday there were a bunch around 10 and under. Today there were 2 "big" ones on each side (1) but nothing over 12. Maybe two 12's, an 11 and a 10? Something like that. They're going to call me this afternoon and lemme know when I should head back there.

Nothing like heading to an internal ultrasound at 6:30am in -3 degree weather. Amiright?

  1. My mom would force feed my carnation instant breakfasts too! I still can't eat right away when I get up. Good luck this cycle!

    1. Ah! I thought I was the only one! :) Thank you so much, haha!
Actually about two weeks ago my husband made some coffee and left it in the refrigerator overnight... when I drank it the next day I freaaaked out bc it tasted just like a carnation instant breakfast, haha

  2. Ugh, a 6:30am ultrasound?! I guess we do what we have to do, right? I'm totally with you about the eggs thing. I've been craving hard-boiled eggs since I started treatment. Totally weird!

    1. Right?? Technically I can get there anytime betwee 6:30 and 8am, but I like to get there between 6:30 and 7 because I can get out of there way faster since most people are normal human beings and get there closer to 8, haha.
The egg thing is so bizarre. And I haven't wanted them at all since my last appointment. Even weirder!

  3. 6:30 is early! But I agree, I like warm breakfast too. I used to have warm breakfast when I was living with my parents, ate cereal after I had to cook for myself. These days I eat oatmeal for my gluten-free diet. Warm oatmeal is not bad although it tasted like paper at first :)

    1. Oh my husband is a huuuge fan of oatmeal. On the mornings when he's fending for himself he eats cereal, but he loves it when I'm awake and remind him that there's oatmeal in the pantry. :)

  4. Three Degree Weather? I couldn't do that. I can barely get around in weather just below freezing. I hate driving on ice the most.Good luck in your journey!

    1. Oh, it was actually a "feels like" temperature of NEGATIVE 3 with the windchill. I'm excited for the day we get out of Brooklyn and can go from the heated house to the heated car to the heated store, etc. instead of having to walk everywhere.

And thank you so much!! :)
